Our Mission

Five Valleys Gallery celebrates the rich variety of artistic talent across the Five Valleys and beyond. Our mission is to create a vibrant, welcoming space where visitors can discover handmade work, connect with artists, and enjoy creativity in all its forms. Our collective brings together painters, sculptors, glassmakers, urban sketchers, jewellers, collage artists and printmakers. Inclusivity is central to our vision, and we aim to nurture a gallery that reflects and supports a broad, diverse community of artists.

Due to sales volume in the first six months and the number of new applicants we expanded into a second unit. This unit enables visitors to be quickly emerged into the work on show. It's accessibility to view small to large works has already resulted in particularly high sales from this very open colourful unit. On the left is a totem pole calving containing 10 Stroudwater canal bridges.

February 2026

With so many artists and creatives living in and around Stroud the search for a permanent gallery has been ongoing for some years. The model to run a gallery as a collective not only benefits the local community in terms of access to so many talented artists but this concept enables artists of varying situations to participate and sell their work. Finally the availiablity of space at the Five Valleys Shopping centre has provided an ideal location.
